VLC Media Player is prone to an overflow condition. The MMSOpen() function in modules/access/mms/mmstu.c in the MMA access plugin fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input resulting in a stack-based buffer overflow. With a specially crafted MMS stream, a context-dependent attacker can potentially execute arbitrary code.
