Description

sNews contains a flaw that allows a remote cross-site scripting (XSS) attack. This flaw exists because the application does not validate input passed via the Categories reorder, Articles reorder and Pages reorder functions before returning it to an administrator level user. This may allow a user to create a specially crafted URL that would execute arbitrary script code in a user's browser within the trust relationship between their browser and the server.

Solution

Currently, there are no known workarounds or vendor upgrades to correct this issue. However, Bkis, the vulnerability researcher who disclosed this issue, has released an unofficial patch to address this vulnerability.
