Description |
chroot_safe contains a flaw that may allow a malicious user to gain access to unauthorized privileges. The issue is triggered due to the NEED_SETUID_WRAP option, which mistakenly nullifies setuid() and similar calls for the application as well as chroot_safe itself. Calls made to certain functions would not properly drop privileges allowing potential privilege escalation.
