Snort package for pfSense contains a flaw that allows traversing outside of a restricted path. The issue is due to the /snort/snort_log_view.php script not properly sanitizing user input, specifically absolute paths and path traversal style attacks (e.g. '../') supplied via the 'logfile' parameter. With a specially crafted request, an authenticated remote attacker can read arbitrary files.
