Description |
OpenBSD contains a flaw that may allow a malicious user to gain access to unauthorized privileges or cause a Denial of Service. The issue is caused by a boundary error in compat_ibcs2. This flaw may lead to a loss of Confidentiality, Integrity and/or Availability.

On OpenBSD 3.4 systems the flaw will not allow code execution but it will cause a kernel panic creating a Denial of Service. On all OpenBSD systems prior to 3.4 the flaw will allow execution of arbitrary code as the root user.

Solution |
Currently, there are no known workarounds or upgrades to correct this issue. However, OpenBSD has released a patch to address this vulnerability.
