The problem is that the FTP server fails to handle certain queries for invalid paths such as "//./". This causes the FTP service to stop responding.
Such path requests can be made using the following arguments: mkd, xmkd, dele, size, retr, stor, appe, rnfr, rnto, rmd, xrmd

Solution |
Upgrade to version 1.11 or higher, as it has been reported to fix this vulnerability. An upgrade is required as there are no known workarounds.
