Description

A memory corruption flaw exists in VLC Media Player. The "WNetAddConnection2A()" Windows API function fails to sanitize user-supplied input when invoked by an incorrect calling convention resulting in memory corruption. With a specially crafted media file (e.g. loaded from a website or URL), a remote attacker can execute arbitrary code.
