WebKit contains a use-after-free error that is triggered when handling the 'animVal' property of certain SVG tags. With a specially crafted SVG document, a context-dependent attacker can dereference already freed memory and potentially execute arbitrary code.

OSVDB is not currently aware of a solution for this vulnerability.

Upgrade to Apple Safari version 5.1 or 5.0.6 or higher, as they have been reported to fix this vulnerability. An upgrade is required as there are no known workarounds.
