Description

<em style='font-weight:bold;'>(Description Provided by <a href="http://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=2011-3253" target="_blank">CVE</a>)</em> : CalDAV in Apple iOS before 5 does not validate X.509 certificates for SSL sessions, which allows man-in-the-middle attackers to spoof calendar servers and obtain sensitive information via an arbitrary certificate.

Solution

Currently, there are no known workarounds or upgrades to correct this issue. However, Apple has released the iOS 5 Software Update to address this vulnerability. The vendor states this update may be downloaded and installed using iTunes.
