Description

WebKit contains a use-after-free error in the 'XMLDocumentParser::endElementNs' function in WebCore/dom/XMLDocumentParserLibxml2.cpp and 'XMLDocumentParser::parseEndElement' function in WebCore/dom/XMLDocumentParserQt.cpp. With a specially crafted web page, a context-dependent attacker can dereference already freed memory and potentially execute arbitrary code.

Solution

Currently, there are no known workarounds or upgrades to correct this issue. However, Apple has released the iOS 5 Software Update to address this vulnerability. The vendor states this update may be downloaded and installed using iTunes.
