Layton HelpBox contains a flaw that may allow an attacker to carry out an SQL injection attack. The issue is due to the enduserreopenrequeststatus.asp script not properly sanitizing user-supplied input to the 'sys_request_id' and 'confirm' parameters. This may allow an attacker to inject or manipulate SQL queries in the back-end database, allowing for the manipulation or disclosure of arbitrary data.

Solution
The vendor has discontinued this product in favor of ServiceDesk, which it recommends users migrate to, and therefore has no patch or upgrade that mitigates this problem. It is possible that users with an existing support contract may be able to contact the vendor for a fix for HelpBox, but this has not been confirmed.
